RMU Customer:
State of Illinois grant funds are available to eligible communities for sanitary sewer and water main improvements. We at RMU believe that the Lakeview area may meet these eligibility requirements and intend to apply for a CDAP ( Community Development Assistance Program) state grant.
Rochelle Municipal Utilities (RMU) and the City of Rochelle are conducting a confidential income survey in order to determine if the Lakeview area meets the eligibility requirements needed to apply for a CDAP state grant for upgrading the sanitary sewer system in your neighborhood.
Starting on December 11, 2009 RMU will be distributing income surveys to customers in the Lakeview area. We request that you please complete this survey and return it in the provided postage paid envelope by December 20, 2009. RMU personnel will collect and tally the results of the survey any and all information provided in response to this survey will be held in confidence. Only the collected data of the community as a whole will be shared with the City Council.
Once the results are tabulated and we verify that the Lakeview area is eligible for a CDAP grant, an application for grant funding for upgrades to the sanitary sewer will be submitted. The grant funding will enable RMU to keep the users rates at the lowest level possible.
